Bears announce Director of Girls Lacrosse | Register for Middlesex Bears Fall Ball

AAA LACROSSE – The Middlesex Bears AAA Lacrosse club is an organization that has over 25 years of experience with developing, coaching, and inspiring youth, young-adult and HS/Prep School student-athletes in their quest to become a better and more complete athlete. This is a full scale elite developmental operation that focuses on the following:

  • youth boys and girls lacrosse development through AAA teams, festivals, skill sessions, tournaments and leagues.
  • young adult AAA competitive travel teams (U11B, U13B, U15B, U16B, U11G, U13G, U15G) that prepare those that have come through the system to eventually compete at the Prep/HS level and ultimately the NCAA.
  • Our Junior A/ Post Graduate Team prepares the Prep/HS graduate athlete for college in the hope of strengthening their performance, earning scholarship, or tipping the scales in their favor for college admission to selective schools.

If you want to be individually looked at, or recruited by,  the AAA Bears, please email info@middlesexbears.com and one of our Coaches/Directors will contact you.  Recruiting goes on all year so please reach out if high quality lacrosse is of importance to you.

PHILOSOPHY

In short, success is a result when preparation meets opportunity.

We teach our student-athletes in all aspects of the game, both on and off the field. We coach the game to prepare young men and women to have the confidence, experience, and knowledge to be able to apply athletic lessons to the classroom and to life.

We do not hide the fact that we play to compete against the best competition in the Northeast.  Our program competes against the top area preparatory schools, which provide a high level of play and exposure to coaches and campuses.

Our goal is simple.  Prepare young adults to be able to compete in Prep/HS at the Varsity level and then move on to the NCAA and play competitive college lacrosse.

We support local and town lacrosse programs.  All of our players are involved with their town programs as well as with the Bears.  Conflicts are extremely minimal.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

Our coaches teach an up-tempo, fast-paced style of lacrosse.  This allows for creativity within a teachable system at the offensive end of the field and an athletic, high-pressure defense at the other end.  With instruction and feedback from experienced coaches, our players are given many opportunities to experiment and grow as lacrosse players.  The Middlesex Bears lacrosse program is committed to each players individual development of skill, and knowledge of the game.

If you want the best and most experienced coaching with the best and most competitive schedule, then the Middlesex Bears AAA program is the best fit for you.

Fall Ball 2010 Leagues

The Middlesex Bears are proud to announce a pick-up Fall lacrosse league.  The games will take place on a small field. Using a small field requires the players to move the ball very quickly, rapidly improving stick skills and decision making.  The league will be competitive, and be run in a pick up fashion.  Teams will be created weekly based on attendance.  Our development leagues stress fundamental lacrosse skills as well as providing a fun atmosphere for the young athlete.  For more information about Fall Ball, go to our Fall Ball page.

Register online, send the payment in, follow the Fall Ball link for times and dates.  Your son or daughter will receive a Middlesex Bears Fall Ball shirt as well.

Steven Piatelli – Recruited to play Lacrosse at Harvard – recent graduate of Harvard
“Coach Moody has had a great impact on my life as a student-athlete.  His great competitiveness and drive for his players to achieve their absolute best is inspiring.  I am thankful for the many hours he has spent with me looking at several different college options.  I am grateful for his dedication to me and my family during this very stressful period.”

Ben Barr - Full Scholarship RPI Hockey – former captain
“Coach Moody was the reason why I had an opportunity to play and become a Captain at the Division I college level.  He was in close contact with college recruiters constantly and convinced many of them they needed to take a hard look at me.  One of those looks paid of for me and my entire family.  Not only did I achieve my dream of playing Division I, but I was able to tell my parents they did not have to pay a dime for college.  I am so thankful for Coach Moody and all that he has done.  He is a great coach and has become a true friend.”

Pat Cullity – Full Scholarship University of Vermont Hockey – former captain
“I was coached by Coach Moody for five years as a student-athlete.  He has seen me grow and develop through all the different periods of my academic and athletic life.  His faith in me as a player gave me the confidence I needed to stay strong and continue to believe in my dream.  He was a knowledgeable and tough coach.  His experience and expertise are invaluable.  My family and I are forever grateful for all that he has done to put me in the position to earn a full scholarship and achieve a childhood dream of playing Division I athletics.”
